What's the I.S.C.?
The I.S.C. is the abbreviation for the Inter-Squad Championship. Other schools use the terms "intersquad" and "intrasquad" interchangeably to denote competition among members of the same team. However, Poseidon Preparatory Academy's I.S.C. is truly an intersquad event, pitting teams of 5 members against each other in a year-long competition. Grades, community service, and direct 5-on-5 matches in the "Battledome" all count toward the grand prize - a summer internship with the premier supergroups of North America! Joining a squad is a major avenue for reader characters to become a part of the narrative.
