Cam focused on Riley and amplified his call...the should went out across the majority of the boat catching Krilla with the call so she could lock onto it. Telepathy was a particularly accurate tool especially to someone like Krilla.

Dani crossed her arms and sighed. "Well our objectives are the same - get the codex and get out we just need to hurry, Cam and Riley have been knocked out so we should adjust our strategies"

"Take her psi-shield. Ok, fair enough, shouldn't be too hard to do right now..." Veronica said, looking over at Madeleine, whose body was still encased in the black ice. As she whispered "Sermo" and extended her right arm, her hand started to glow, faintly at first, but getting brighter and brighter with every second that passed. The light shaped itself into a ball, big enough to let Veronica's hand fit. She hadn't really done that all that much before, but it was one of those situations where she just had to try it.

"Here goes nothing..." the gynoid said, before letting her hand enter in the ball of light, as if trying to reach for something within it; as she did so, Madeleine's body seemed to glow faintly. "Let's see.... let's see.... I think I got it.... either that, or I'm touching something I should probably not think about too much..."

Noah just stood back, looking at the others without talking much. He looked at his wings, a little ragged and injured, still good enough to fly but definitely not to strain too much for the time being.

For Krilla it's as though two new stars have appeared in her sky. She sends herself rushing back along the connection and wraps her mind around theirs.

I hear you. I'm here.

The others get a rush of knowledge, roughly where Cam and Riely are and the fact that they're linked in again.

Mitch's little declaration shakes her. It's quite unexpected, most people are frightened the first time they see her.

I- um. *mental static* Thank you Sculptor. Thats very sweet of you to say but we have work to say I mean do.*untranslatable alien concept* please stand up!

It's odd to see Krilla flustered, she's normally very together.

She keeps a corner of her mind on the discussion and focuses on the task in front of her. She places barriers in between her and the students, though in fact they're more like filters.

Staring at the vaults and the garlands she relaxes a moment and let's herself be her real self. All traces of Cassandra fade away and the way she views the world changes. She looks at the puzzle again with a Diran mindset, she's starting to suspect these defenses are implanted in the woman's psyche rather then offered by a technological scrambler.

She crouches down and studies the vault ahead of her, she's working at the speed of thought.

Cam and Riley are located in the brig at the far front of the boat in a converted cabin area.

Cam finally snapped his cords and, rubbing his wrists, got loose "Right, let the boy who got lock picks for christmas look at this lock" he muttered as he approached Riley.

The mental landscape is walled off to her but Veronica's powers are present as is a part of Veronica. Krilla has the power to do this, she could feel that...it was a case of doing it with finesse

"Fire away then, BC," Riley surrendered with a warm, well-meaning smile, plucking his pendant free from the luck and offering Cam the heavy manacles about his wrists. "I've gotte absolutely nowhere as it is, anyhow."

'Glad ta here a friendly voice,' Borrower grinned over the mental link at Krilla. 'Any luck on findin' out where we are yet?'

'My, my, what's this?' La Rana grinned playfully as she watched her roommate squirm at Mitch's sweet remarks at her beauty. 'Is Krilla getting all flustered? Now I know I'm dreaming.' She did her best to stifle a chuckle at this. Jen and Krilla had been roommates for a little while, but both could kinda tell when the other was joking.

Mitch blinked at the concept that couldn't be translated, still not realising how much his words had effected Krilla. She was busy now, and he didn't want to interrupt, so the artist instead focused on getting himself in a condition to help with... whatever he could.

Slowly balancing his weight on his own two feet instead of leaning on Jennifer, Sculptor started stretching his muscles to make sure he wasn't too badly injured. The burns were all superficial, though his baggy black ski jacket was pretty much ruined. He shrugged out of it, revealing a simple black undershirt with bits of polyester ski jacket still stuck to it that barely covered his gymnastic build. It was lucky La Rana had tackled him into the water when she did, otherwise his burns would have been so much worse. His skin was peeling in some places, he felt bruised all over his back and midsection, but for the most part he was okay.

With Dexter no longer messing with the psychic network and Krilla filtering the messages to him, his head was no longer pounding with pain and confusion. Remembering that he'd brought along his Tasmanian Devil, he reached out for it. His gold eyes glowed for just a moment, then faded. Tazzy wasn't there any more. Lady Black must've destroyed it.

"Did... did anyone see what happened to Tazzy? I can't find it." He ventured to the rest of the team.

"I..... uhm... I'm sorry to say that... maybe, Tazzy caught fire when Lady Black attacked us" Noah responded to Mitch after thinking for a while. He didn't really see it, but it was rather likely, and then again the deck of the ship had pretty much exploded during the fight so, it could be assumed; but that wasn't easy to say to its creator.

This was a bit of a new experience to Veronica, admittedly. Entering someone's mind or being connected to them wasn't necessarily new, but just the... sensation, seeing it as an actual landscape, it was all new to her, to her feelings; even though it felt more like a dream or like she was only half there, it was still a bit shocking. She had pretty much forgotten her body was pretty much stuck in the same position as before with her hand still inside the portal. She could see it, Madeleine's mental landscape... though not in its full glory. She could see some places locked by red rose symbols, or could see roads and places closed off by gardlands and bouquets of roses with sharp thorns to stop anyone from going further. There were also doors, locked and painted with white and red rose symbols.

Well... I most definitely wasn't expecting this. she thought, the reverb from the Aeon's whispers backing it up. Something tells me it won't exactly be easy to open up this place, am I right?

Krilla reaches out towards Travis, Dani and Cameron. She brushes their minds and looks deeper for their memories of the Templars. It's not long before she stumbles upon the Lady Red. She's looks for more then just her face, she looks at the memory's the students have of being affected by her telepathy. She take the moment before and after on each of them, compares the pairs to their partners then the pairs to each other.

She's building a model, comparing it to the power ahead of her blocking her way. The technique is well known to her people, it's how the Green members of the police force solve psychic crimes.

With a solid image of Melina and how she uses her power. Assumes her form and alters her patterns. She gauges the defences to see which if any are stronger.

It's Travis that responds to Riely's question.

You appear to be at the front of the boat. Are either of you injured?

Cam grunted.

I may or may not have a black eye he grumbled as he worked ont he shackles. Riley has been tied down by cold iron shackles

Dani shuddered at the psychic touch to her memories...the telepathic Templar had been...unpleasant

'Not so much fun when the shoe's on the other foot, I must say,' Borrower chuckled over the link, keeping a chipper attitude in spite of the dire situation at hand. 'So, what's the game, o' Fearless Leader?'

Allowing Mitch to stand on his own, La Rana smiled warmly at the young animator, happy to see him strong enough to move under his own power again. Still, she was sad to hear that Tazzy had been lost in the scuffle. Poor little guy... Her fists tightened in anger at Lady Black. She'd pay for what she'd done. Sculpture or not, Tazzy was a member of their team, and she wasn't about to let his "death" be in vain.

"Oh..." was Mitch's initial reaction. He bit his lip and stopped stretching, pulling back into himself a little. He didn't want to show his anger and resentment over Tazzy's supposed destruction. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, his eyes half closed as he asked, "has anybody seen anything else I can use? Some paintings or something? Hera got blown up, too, so... that sucks."

He wasn't going to have a tantrum right now, he refused to, but if this stupid battledome had destroyed something he had taken so long to create... well, the least he could do was break Lady Black's toys, too.

Krilla walks through the rose barred doors and crosses the garlands without harm. Her impersonation of the Lady Red was unexpected by the Battledome and gives her access. She was lucky, they underestimated her.

The mind is remarkably well organized. Precise and detailed. All the easier to read. She passes the information through to the part of her dealing with the students.

I have access to her mind. She believes that The Lady Black is being escorted by herself, Dexter, and a man named Smith. She has little information on Smith, he's a contractor. Dexter's redirection of energy is controlled by his rhythm. Eight battle suits are present, stored at the rear of the boat. The boat itself has been given 'magic proofing'. Some doors do biometric scans along with checking club rings.

The Lady Black has hidden the codex personally. The executives do not know where.

If you have additional information for me to look for now would be the time to ask.

Krilla's mental voice is different now. Harsher and deeper.

Good question. Cam can you get Riley out of his bonds? If you can rejoin us I think we animate the battlesuits and use them as a destruction while we hunt for the codex.

Travis lays his hands on the floor and raises them a lump of ice forming beneath his hands. He shapes it with his imagination, his will. It grows claws and eyes, jagged shards of ice for teeth and a long graceful tail. The panther is wonderfully detailed but runty. Smaller then a real panther would be.

Travis has been know to create little animated ice creatures to sell. This was much easier, it's basically just an ice sculpture.

I can get him out of the shackles yes, eventually but out of the cell? Unlikely nor can he...there's a binding circle around the cell and I sense it's to prevent teleportation. It seems the boat was prepared for Magical assault and captives.

He cursed as the lock persisted to refuse him but finally released Riley. Done he's free but the lock on the main door is not something I can pick

'Ah, nothin' like sweet freedom,' Riley thought to himself as he rubbed his chaffed wrists, now free from the shackles. "Thanks a ton, Cam." His eyes spoke volumes in this, meeting the smile on his face. Sure, he and Cam hadn't gotten off on the right foot, persay, but he'd still come through for him, and that meant a lot.

However, he knew they had to focus on the matter at hand, joining the telepathic link once more. 'So, I can't teleport in here, an' the doors are specially sealed an' "magic-proofed'...' Just then, something dawned on him. '... Has anyone seen my shillelagh? I was so focused on gettin' outta these things that I didn't see if they'd left it here or not.'

Mitch watched in amazement as the ice grew into a panther right in front of his eyes. He knelt by it, carefully running his fingers over the sleek form and studying its face. His eyes glowed golden as he channeled whatever force it was into the ice sculpture, taking longer than it would with something he'd created himself. It felt like a part of his body was suddenly numb from cold, but it wasn't his body. The panther was waking.

A shudder went through the ice and suddenly it rippled like the muscles of a real panther as this frozen being began stretching. Its back arched upward then curved downward, its paws splaying out and showing off the thick claws attached to them. The tail flicked in aggitation, jaws opened wide to reveal some very nasty teeth as the panther yawned. Sitting back on its haunches, the frozen feline looked around at the gathered party with cold indifference; except for Noah, who garnered a sneer which showed off plenty of teeth.
